Wokman Team Leaders
Michael Elton has 20 years senior management experience. He returned to Papua New Guinea in August 2007 having previously lived and worked in Port Moresby and Arawa (Bougainville Island) in the 1980s / 90s for 12 years. Michael has a Bachelors degree (Arts/Accounting); he is a qualified accountant (CPA) and he has well developed professional accounting, management and leadership skills.
Since 1979 Michael has worked in Australia, PNG, Germany, Switzerland and Bermuda and during this period has held various Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer positions. His work experiences cover a broad range of industry / business exposures, including mining, engineering, manufacturing, timber, hardware, retail / wholesale and air freight.
Michael joined the JDA Group in Brisbane in early 2007. He has a proven track record of integrity and professional commitment in senior management positions. He believes that his personal attributes including a good sense of humour, a friendly nature and the ability to relate to people at all levels have definitely helped him to successfully overcome the challenges that one faces living and working in such environments as Papua New Guinea.
Peter is responsible for JDA Wokman’s business and development activities. He has 20 years of experience working as an Expatriate in PNG, Indonesia, England and the US, and has formed a solid base from which he can understand the International and local requirements for both Clients and Candidates. Having worked on a number of Mine Sites around PNG, Peter has an established network in the industry and is able to keep up to date with developments around PNG.
Gordon has had 20 years mining experience in PNG. During those years he has worked at a number of mine sites for a number of international companies, which included Bougainville Copper Limited, Ok Tedi Mining Limited and Lihir Management Company. His extensive knowledge and experience saw him reach supervisory level at Ok Tedi Mining Limited where he contributed to the organization for 5 years. Thanks to his extensive knowledge and experience in the Mining Industry, Gordon has secured contractors in various sectors in PNG and overseas. His sound knowledge of the industry allows Gordon to provide quality contractors to suit your requirements.
Stephen graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business (majoring in Human Resource Management) in 2000 at Southern Cross University, Lismore Australia. He has worked in Papua New Guinea & the United Kingdom in both Sales & HR in the Recruitment, Property, Pharmaceutical & Tourism industries. He has a good appreciation of customer service and enjoys working in diverse cultures.
Reporting to the General Manager, Keidi is responsible for ensuring the preparation, lodgement and follow up of all Labour and Immigration Department documentation. Having established relations with both labour and immigration key staff, Keidi is able to coordinate lodgements in an efficient and timely manner. With her friendly personality and dedication to her work, Keidi is a highly valued member of the Wokman team.
Having joined Wokman in 2005, Henry is solely responsible for all pay roll duties within Wokman. This includes Wokman staff currently contracted to companies such as High Arctic, Oil Search and InterOil. Henry also facilitates Wokman’s Payroll Bureau services to our external clients for both national and expatriate personnel. With 10 years experience in Finance and sound knowledge in computing and various payroll softwares, Henry is able to meet client needs in an efficient and timely manner.
Josephine is the longest serving employee in JDA Wokman Ltd workforce, having joined the company since it’s inception in 1991. She has been actively involved in the recruitment and contracting of PNG Nationals for the mining industry. Prior to working for JDA Wokman Ltd, Josie worked for Bougainville Copper Limited as a Senior Secretary, Concentrator Division until 1989 when she left due to the civil unrest on Bougainville Island. With 15 years experience in the recruitment industry, coupled with her ability to work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds, Josie is well suited to appreciate all her client’s business concerns and the need for timely service.
Levilla brings with her experience and knowledge of the PNG employment act and is responsible for all JDA Wokman’s Contracts and Operations functions. She has 14 years experience in administration roles from junior to senior level, and 4 years experience in at junior management level. Levilla has gained experience working in the Construction, Security, Mining & Petroleum, Hospitality, Printing and Manufacturing industries. Well organised with a high attention to detail Levilla drives the administration support team and is a highly effective member of the Wokman team.
